Student Support Team
At Ennistymon Vocational School a Student Support Team has been established for many years.
Coordinated by Ms Meehan Guidance Counsellor the team meets weekly to discuss supports for students in need. Referrals from teachers and parents are welcome as are self referral from students requesting support.
Member of the Team include Orla Conway - Principal, Ms Meehan –Guidance Counsellor, Mr O Gorman Senior Cycle Coordinator, Ms Mann SEN Coordinator, Ms Meenaghan Anti Bullying & Discipline Coordinator, Ms Gannon HSCL , Ms Stewart Wellbeing and Student Voice.
There is a vast expertise on the team and students are given every support in a confidential and supportive manner. The team works within best practice for Child Protection and ETB Student At Risk support services.
The motto is that Happy Students Learn.

Special Educational Needs
Our Special Education Department has a long history in being a thriving and innovative sector , which provides an holistic and inclusive approach to the provision of special education in our school. We pride ourselves in being a model of best practice in special education . Our qualified and dedicated Special Educational Needs team of teachers and teaching assistants offer a wide range of teaching support for pupils with special education needs. .
We provide support for all students with models of co-teaching practice in subject areas. We provide learning support for those students with learning difficulties and learning disabilities to address their literacy, numeracy and accessing the curriculum needs. We provide resource teaching for those with more specialised educational needs, to address their social, emotional, behavioural, and or physical and sensory needs.
Our aim is to assist students with special education needs , to leave school with the skills necessary to participate to the level of their capacity in an inclusive way, in the social and economic activities of society and more importantly, to live independent, happy and fulfilled lives.
